Colonel (Ret) George "Pete" Peterson
Colonel (Ret) George "Pete" Peterson served the United States Air Force in many capacities during his distinguished career and the 20th TFW at RAF Upper Heyford, England during the years 1974-76 as Wing Assistant Director of Operations and as Vice Commander. Pete flew the F-111. He was a long-time member of the 20th Fighter Wing Association, and his name will be honored at the next association reunion. He passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side. He was 94 years of age. Rest in peace.

Jo Anne Hendrix.
Jo Anne Hendrix was the dear wife of long-time association member Major (Ret) Bill Hendrix and will be remembered as a vibrant member of the F-100 community at RAF Woodbridge (1962-65). She persevered as an Air Force wife, moving to Las Vegas, England and Louisiana. Bill and Jo Anne were married for over 60 years. She fought a courageous battle with ALS and at the age of 83 passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on 26 October 2025. She will be missed. Her name will be entered in our Fallen Hero’s Roster and be honored at the association’s next reunion. Rest in Peace.

Colonel (Ret) George Bristol
Colonel (Ret) George Bristol served the United States Air Force in many capacities during his distinguished career and the 20th TFW at RAF Wethersfield, England during the years 1955-58. George was a true aviation pioneer and flew the F-100. He was a long-time member of the 20th Fighter Wing Association, and his name will be honored at the next association reunion. He passed away peacefully March 2025 with his loving family by his side. He was 93 years of age. Rest in peace.

Lt.Colonel (Ret) Robert Caldwell
Lt Colonel (Ret) Robert Caldwell served the United States Air Force in many capacities during his distinguished career and the 20th TFW at RAF Upper Heyford, England during the years 1972-76. Robert was a true aviation pioneer and assigned to the 55th/20th Wing. He flew the F-111. He was a long-time member of the 20th Fighter Wing Association, and his name will be honored at the next association reunion. He passed away peacefully 3 December 2025 with his loving family by his side. He was 85 years of age. Rest in peace.

Colonel (Ret) Kenneth Alley served the United States Air Force in many capacities during his distinguished career and the 20th TFW at RAF Upper Heyford, England during the years 1974-77 and at Shaw AFB from 1996-97. He was assigned to the 77th TFS and flew the F-111. Ken was a long-time member of the 20th Fighter Wing Association, and his name will be honored at the next association reunion. He passed away peacefully 27 October 2023 with his loving family by his side. He was 75 years of age. Rest in peace.

Sallie Sue Frogge
Sallie Sue Frogge was the dear wife of long-time association member Lieutenant Colonel (Ret.) James H. Frogge (Dec) and will be remembered as a vibrant member of the F-100 community at RAF Wethersfield (1966-68). She persevered as an Air Force wife, moving all over the world, including Texas, England, Germany, and New Mexico. Upon returning to Tennessee, she found her true calling in education, teaching vocational office skills for 23 years and also serving as a cheer coach. Sallie was 86 and passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on 14 October 2025. She will be missed. Her name will be entered in our Fallen Hero’s Roster and be honored at the association’s next reunion. Rest in Peace.

Colonel (Ret) Arley "Gator" McRae
Colonel (Ret) Arley "Gator" McRae served the United States Air Force in many capacities during his distinguished 30-year career and the 20th TFW at RAF Wethersfield, England during the years 1961-64. He was assigned to the 77th TFS and flew the F-100. Ken was a long-time member of the 20th Fighter Wing Association, and his name will be honored at the next association reunion. Gator will be remembered not only for his service to his country, but for his generosity, humility, and lifelong commitment to his faith, family, community, and country. He passed away peacefully 28 September 2025 with his loving family by his side. He was 91 years of age. Rest in peace.

Adrieene A. McDonald
Adrienne A. McDonald the dear wife of long-time association member Colonel (Ret.) B. Kim McDonald and will be remembered as a vibrant member of the F100 community at RAF Wethersfield (1965-68). She persevered as an Air Force wife, moving all over the world in support of Kim. Adrienne passed away peacefully in July 2025 at home surrounded by family. She will be missed. Jean R. Miller
Jean R. Miller was the dear wife of past association member Mike F. Miller. Jean was born in Norfolk, England and met Mike while he was stationed at RAF Wethersfield. She was the base librarian and was a member of the F100 community at RAF Wethersfield (1952-55). The two were married for 67 years until Mike passed in 2022. The couple returned to Warren, Ohio where she earned her GED and became a U.S. Citizen. Jean passed away peacefully in July 2025 at home surrounded by family. She was 90 years old and will be missed. Her name will be entered in our Fallen Hero’s Roster and be honored at the association’s next reunion. Rest in Peace.

Len Deighton
Len Deighton was the author of many Espionage Best Sellers. His Cold War thrillers “The Ipcress File” and “Funeral in Berlin” brought a documentary-style realism to the spy genre. He also wrote several works of historical fiction, set during World War II, that critics put on a par with his best spy novels. These included “Bomber” (1970), about a failed Royal Air Force raid on the Ruhr in 1943, and the counterfactual “SS-GB” (1978), which imagines Britain under Nazi occupation in 1941. He passed away peacefully in February 2026 with his loving family by his side. Len was a longtime Associate member of the 20th Fighter Wing Association, and his name will be honored at the next association reunion. He was 90 years of age. Rest in peace.

He was assigned to the 20th Maintenance Squadron. Fred was a long-time member of the 20th Fighter Wing Association, and his name will be honored at the next association reunion. Fred will be remembered not only for his service to his country, but for his generosity, humility, and lifelong commitment to his family, community, and country. He passed away peacefully 27 November 2024. He was 82 years of age. Rest in peace.

Abby Ellen Skilling
Abby Ellen Skilling was the dear wife of long-time association member Lieutenant Colonel (Ret.) David Skilling and will be remembered as a vibrant member of the F100 community at RAF Wethersfield (1965-68). She persevered as an Air Force wife, moving all over the world, including Arizona (twice), England, Germany (twice), North Carolina, and Virginia. During David's Vietnam tour, Abby and their daughter, Vicki, lived in Big Spring, Texas near her parents. Abby worked for the U.S. Air Force in Germany, and at various civilian jobs elsewhere. Following David's retirement from the Air Force, Abby continued her own distinguished career, joining Lockheed Martin in Burbank, California, as executive assistant to the head of the F‑22 Raptor program. She had a joyful spirit and a radiant smile. Whether she was dancing in her kitchen or doting on her dogs-Sabre, Lilly, and Gracie-she filled every space with warmth. She loved her family deeply and was dearly loved in return. She will be profoundly missed. Abby was 84 and passed away peacefully by family on 24 February 2025. Her name will be entered in our Fallen Hero’s Roster and be honored at the association’s next reunion. Rest in Peace.
