
Colonel (Ret) Kenneth M. Alley
Colonel Kenneth M. Alley served the United States Air Force in many capacities during hic career and was assigned to the 20th Tactical Fighter Wing at Upper Heyford during the the period of 1971-1974 and at Shaw Air Forece Base during the perion1997- 1998. Ken flew the F-111 and the F-16 and was 75 years old. He was a member of the 20th Fighter Wing Association and his name will be honored at the next Association Reunion. Ken will be missed.

Lieutenant Colonel William "Bill" Fairfax
Lieutenant Colonel William "Bill" Fairfax served the United States Air Force in many capacities during his career and 20thTFW at Upper Heyford during the years 1974-1979 and again during 1984-1987. He flew the F-111 and was 76 years old. He was a long-time member of the 20th Fighter Wing Association, and his name will be honored at the next Association Reunion. He will be missed. Rest in Peace.

Captain Robert Charles ‘Bob’ Brinker
Captain Robert C. "Bob" Brinker served the United States Air Force in many capacities during his career and the 20thTFW at RAF Wethersfield during the years 1955-58. While there, Bob flew the F84F jet fighter in England, French Morocco, and Western Europe. He was a true aviation pioneer and will be missed. He was a long-time member of the Association, and his name will be honored at the next Association Reunion. Rest in Peace.

Lieutenant Colonel John R Walters
Lieutenant Colonel John R Walters served the United States Air Force in many capacities during his career and the 20thTFW, 77th Fighter Squadron, at RAF Wethersfield during the years 1965-1968. He flew 700+ combat hours in the F-100 and F-4 aircraft. John was credited with flying the first and last combat mission of the Vietnam war (9 years apart). He was a true aviation pioneer and will be missed. He was a long-time member of the Association, and his name will be honored at the next Association Reunion. John was 92 years old and will be missed. Rest in Peace.

Lieutenant Colonel (Ret) Mark Charles Walton
Lieutenant Colonel (Ret) Mark Charles Walton served the Unted States Air Force in Many capacities during his distinguished career and the 20th FWA at RAF Upper Heyford during the years 1985-1987. During his tenure Mark flew the F-111 and in 1986 he lead the overall planning for Operation Eldorado Canyon, the longest aerial strike mission from Europe since WW II, and a decisive blow against terrorism. Major (Ret) Lewis Brad Insley
Major (Ret) Lewis Brad Insley served the United States Air Force in many capacities during his distinguished career and the 20th TFW at RAF Upper Heyford during the years 1978-1981 and again from 1984-1989. While there he a member of 55th/77thTFS and flew the F-111. Brad was reputed to have the over 5000 hours in the F-111. Many flyers learned the finer points of flying the Aardvark from Brad. He was a long-time member of the 20th FWA. His name will be honored at the next association reunion. Rest in Peace.

Senior Master Sergeant (Ret) Martin (Marty) Gladden
SMS Marty Gladden served the United States Air Force in many capacities during his distinguished career and the 20th TFW at RAF Wethersfield during the years 1964-67. While there he a member of 20th TFW Field Maintenance Squadron and supported the F-100. He was a long-time member of the 20th FWA and attended many recent reunions. His name will be honored at the next association reunion. He passed away on 2 November 2024 and was 78 years old. Rest in Peace.

While there he was flew the F-111 and was Commander of the 55thTFS. Many flyers learned the finer points of flying the Aardvark from Danny. He was a long-time member of the 20th FWA and his name will be honored at the next association reunion. He was 83 and passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on 6 July 2024. Major (Ret) Lloyd A. West served the United States Air Force in many capacities during his distinguished career and the 20th TFW at RAF Upper Heyford during the years 1973-1978. He was assigned to the 79th TFS. In addition to flying the F-111 he also spent time in the C-123, F-101, and the F-15. Colonel (Ret) Sergi L. Demchuk served the United States Air Force in many capacities during his distinguished career and the 20th TFW at RAF Wethersfield 1967-1968. He was assigned to the 55th TFS. In addition to flying the F-100 he also spent time in the F-4. Sergi played a key role in the F-117 program. He was a long-time member of the 20th FWA and his name will be honored at the next association reunion. He passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on 4 January 2022. Rest in Peace.
